I also finished this in July. I’m going through a period of being obsessed with the heart. This is acrylic on canvas. On the original, the blue is much richer. The white is actually chrome and very reflective.

Thanks! I appreciate your comment. I’m afraid that this painting has been sold. Let me know if you want me to contact you the next time I have a heart-related painting for sale. I’ve got some other ideas I need to work on, as I am going through a heart-centric phase right now. It’ll probably be a few months.

To me, this piece symbolizes the unraveling of the heart — and what a prickly unraveling that can be — dangerous — losing blood and control but surrounded by the brillant blue color — a comforting place that can be –
